Top-class curriculum

10.08.35: DEPARTMENT for Education and Enterprise officials yesterday unveiled the curriculum at the heart of the Education Reform Act.

The act is the product of a forum set up in 2031 to revise education and training requirements. It was asked to think beyond usual norms and reject traditional models.

The resulting Curriculum for Productive Futures is designed to apply across the categories of sex, race and age. Its core areas are: People in Their Social Environment, dealing with languages, communications, media, ethics, power, history and English; People in Their Cultural Environment, containing art, design, music, literature and criticism; and People in Their Natural Environment, for science, maths, IT, geography and ecology. The revolutionary new curriculum is subject to international copyright. PF
